Our lightweight automotive leather reduces the weight of vehicles and also limits CO2 emissions. Automotive Lite can be used throughout the entire vehicle interior and provides numerous product benefits for all users.
Weight reduction does not necessarily mean thinner and thus more susceptible leather. Despite a weight reduction of up to 25% compared to standard automotive leather, the quality and thickness of the leather are maintained. Stretching and strength characteristics such as tear resistance and tensile strength also remain the same.
For end customers this means the following: Weight reduction throughout the complete vehicle interior leads to fuel savings and a smaller ecological footprint. Our Automotive Lite leather can also be equipped with SPS finish (anti-soiling) or EVO+ (antibacterial surface protection).
