Data privacy statement

Foreword

This website is operated by Wollsdorf Leder Schmidt & Co GesmbH as the entity responsible for data privacy. This notice provides information about personal data that is processed within the context of this website.

The protection of your personal data is of utmost importance to us. Therefore, we process your data exclusively on the basis of legal regulations (GDPR, Austrian Telecommunications Act 2003). This information on data protection explains the most important aspects of data processing for our website.

Personal data

We process the following personal data within the context of your visit to our website:

    • Date and time of accessing the website
    • Your IP address
    • Name and version of your web browser
    • Certain cookies (see next item)
    • Information that you provided yourself in the contact form

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies, which are small text files that are stored on your device by your browser. Cookies are harmless to your device. We use cookies to make our website as user-friendly as possible. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser in case of a repeat visit to our website. If you do not consent to the usage of cookies, you can change the settings in your browser so that you are informed when cookies are saved, which then allows you to approve cookies on a case-by-case basis. Disabling the use of cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that make it possible to analyse your usage of our website. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website is transferred to a Google server and stored there. We use Google Analytics with the extension “’anonymize_ip’: true” in order to ensure that IP addresses transmitted to Google are processed in abbreviated form so as to exclude any personal identification. Google uses this information to analyse your use of the website, compile reports about website activity for the website operator and provide further services associated with the use of the website and the Internet. Google may also transmit this information to third parties if this is required by law or in case third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will never associate your IP address with other data of Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies for Google Analytics by configuring your browser software. However, please note that you may then not be able to use all features of our website to the fullest extent. You can object at any time to the collection and storage of data for Google Analytics with effect for the future by installing a browser plugin by Google (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). Further information about Google Analytics can be found here: (http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/learn/privacy.html).

Google Maps

We use Google Maps to display maps. The integration of Google Maps implies that Google is able to detect the IP address of users. The IP address is required in order to send content to the user’s browser. We would like to point out that Google has its own data privacy guidelines, which are independent of ours. We do not accept responsibility or liability for Google’s guidelines and procedures. Prior to using our website, please read the data privacy regulations of Google.

Facebook

This website uses social plugins of the social network facebook.com, which are operated by Facebook Inc. (1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA). After activating the plugin, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook is then notified that you visited our website from your IP address. If you click on the Facebook “Like” button while logged in to your Facebook account, you link the content on our webpages to your Facebook profile. Facebook can thereby associate your visit to our webpages with your user account. We would like to point out that, as operators of this website, we have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted to Facebook and how Facebook uses this data. For more information on this topic, please read the data privacy statement of Facebook at http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php. Please log out of your Facebook user account if you do not want Facebook to associate your visit to our sites with your Facebook user account.

Youtube

Videos may also be embedded in our web presence, which are provided by the platform “YouTube”, represented by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). Usually, your IP address is already sent to YouTube and cookies are installed on your computer when you access a page with embedded videos. However, we have embedded our YouTube videos with the enhanced data protection mode (in this case YouTube still contacts the service DoubleClick by Google, but personal data is not collected according to the data privacy statement of Google). YouTube does not store information about users unless users actually watch the video. When you click on the video, your IP address is transmitted to YouTube and YouTube learns that you have seen the video. If you are logged in to YouTube, this information will be associated with your user account (you can prevent this by logging out of YouTube prior to accessing the video on YouTube). We have no knowledge and cannot exert any influence on the potential collection and usage of your data by YouTube. Further information about Google’s data privacy statement is available at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/. We also refer to our general statement in this data privacy declaration with respect to general processing and deactivation of cookies.

Online presence in social media besides Facebook and YouTube

We maintain an online presence within social networks and platforms in order to be able to communicate with active users, interested parties and customers. When calling up these networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and data processing regulations of the respective operators apply. Unless otherwise stated within the context of our data privacy statement, we process the data of users when they communicate with us through social networks and platforms.

Yumpu

Some subpages of our website integrate a plugin from yumpu.com, which is operated by i-magazine AG (Gewerbestrasse 3, 9444 Diepoldsau, Switzerland). We thereby make various Wollsdorf publications available to our users in an appealing format. Yumpu then places cookies and saves personal data such as the IP address and information about the time and duration of usage within the context of usage. You can prevent the placement of cookies in the security settings of your browser. Further information about the usage of data collected by Issuu is available at https://www.yumpu.com/de/info/privacy_policy and https://www.yumpu.com/de/info/cookie_policy.

Legal basis and purpose of data processing

We process personal data collected on this website according to the legal basis of our predominantly legitimate interest according to Section 6 (1) lit f of the GDPR for the following purposes:

  • Provision, further development and improvement of the website
  • Creation of usage statistics
  • Detection, prevention and tracking of attacks on the website
  • Processing of your requests

Data transmission and period of retention

Insofar as necessary for the abovementioned purposes, we forward personal data to IT service providers used by us. When selecting our commissioned processing entities, we ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and have implemented agreements that ensure confidentially and careful processing of personal data.

Collected data is not sold or forwarded to uninvolved third parties without reason.

Insofar as one of the recipients is located outside of the EU, we ensure that the country of the recipient or the recipient himself has an adequate level of data protection. We, for example, conclude standard contractual clauses.

We principally store your personal data for a duration of 14 months. A longer storage period is only implemented insofar as this is necessary for investigating attacks on our website.

Rights of affected persons and contact

You have the right to information, correction, deletion and restriction of processed personal data insofar as this does not violate any legal regulations or contractual provisions.

If you have questions regarding the processing of your personal data, object to the processing of your personal data, wish to revoke an issued consent declaration or feel violated in regard to your data privacy rights, please contact the following e-mail address: privacy@wollsdorf.com.

You also have the right to appeal to the competent supervisory authority: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Wickenburggasse 8-10, 1080 Vienna, E-mail: dsb@dsb.gv.at.
