OEKO-TEX® is an internationally standardised testing and certification system for leather goods and leather at all levels of production. The LEATHER STANDARD label indicates that the product has been successfully tested for chemicals that are harmful to health by an independent OEKO-TEX® partner institute. And this according to a catalog of criteria that is stricter in many areas than national and international standard specifications.

Wollsdorf successfully passed the certification for the 2nd time in July 2021. Wollsdorf Leather was also the first company in Austria to be certified according to the OEKO-TEX® LEATHER STANDARD. To receive such a certificate our product has to pass extensive tests. OEKO-TEX® also sends auditors to inspect the company and its processes on site. Acceptance of the standard has grown steadily in recent years. Initially, there was only one OEM to demand OEKO-TEX® certification from its leather suppliers. In the meantime, many customers from the entire leather industry are asking their suppliers to provide proof of OEKO-TEX®. Accordingly, we are proud to have taken on a pioneering role here.
