Since September 2021, our plant in Varaždin has been relying entirely on CO2-neutral power. Thus, per year approx. 1,600,000 kWh of electrical energy from renewable resources such as hydropower, photovoltaics, wind power, etc. are being used (based on the EU electricity mix).
Wollsdorf Austria has already been exclusively relying on green power since 2012 while incurring additional expenditures for this practice. 80% of the electricity utilised group-wide is CO2-neutral. This amounts to annual savings of approx. 4,600 tonnes of CO2 (based on the EU electricity mix), which corresponds to CO2 emissions from approx. 3,500 households (based on EU24, electricity consumption for 4 persons). Wollsdorf can thereby provide an essential contribution to climate protection and the fight against global warming.
