Backpacks from leather scraps

Support of local projects

It is important to us at Wollsdorf to support regional integration projects. It was therefore a pleasure for us to hand over leather scraps to the non-profit service society of the region Weiz (DLG) this time. Within the “LEADER project Zeit-zu-GEHEN!” of the Almenland & Energy region Weiz-Gleisdorf, 110 backpacks were sewn from them. Through this the existing regional structures are advertised and at the same time walking, strolling, hiking, pilgrimage in the region is promoted.

The main task of DLG as a social integration company is to enable people to enter or re-enter working life through subsidized labor market policy measures. In this context, DLG also operates a sewing and ironing service. Here, alteration and mending work, ironing work of all kinds, individual sewing projects & upcycling are done.
